About Us

Marty Zukovich grew up with dogs as part of his family.   In many photos Marty is seen with birds and bird dogs.  As a young boy, Marty would follow his Father's hay mower around and pick up the wild pheasant eggs in his hat.   He'd put the eggs in with the Rhode Island Reds (chickens), they'd hatch and he would raise them.  Marty was raising birds on and off all his life.  Until about 20 years ago when as an adult, he got a Brittany hunting dog and bought some Bobwhite Quail, to help with the dog training.  He raised a few Quail for himself and a friend.  Then thinking he could raise enough birds to make enough money to pay for his hunting license and his shells the business grew from there.  Now raising over 30,000 birds a year.  As Marty puts it, "It's basically a hobby gone out of control."  Now retired from his full-time job, Marty enjoys spending more time on the farm with the dogs and the birds.   He enjoys when his customers drop by as they have a lot in common and they are the nicest people in the world.  He and his wife, Debbie, run the game bird business.  They are able to produce a quality bird.  The birds are strong, healthy, hard flying, weather conditioned game birds for hunting, Field Trialing and dog training.
